How to Make DIY Fake Hot Chocolate Decorations

Prepare your workspace and gather all supplies before starting your faux dessert craft.
Paint your paper cups using your favorite acrylic paints. Apply 2 coats for full coverage and allow them to dry completely.
Add weight inside the cup to stabilize it. You can hot glue a piece of cardboard or thick poster board into the bottom to keep it sturdy.
Seal the top of the cup by applying hot glue around the rim and attaching a round piece of cardboard or poster board.
Roll out air dry foam clay and cut it to fit the top of your cup.
Apply clear glue to the top surface and place the air dry foam clay on top, gently molding it around the edges for a smooth finish.
Cut a styrofoam ball in half and glue it onto the top to create the base for your whipped topping. Use a combination of clear glue and super glue for a strong hold.
Roll out additional foam clay and create decorative elements like hearts in colors of your choice.
Use heart cookie cutters to cut clean, even shapes, then attach them to the sides of the cup using super glue.
Create the handle by rolling foam clay into a rope shape. Cut to size, then attach the top portion first using super glue. Hold in place until secure, then shape and attach the bottom of the handle.
